Pre-arranging
your own funeral saves your survivors the agony of trying to decide what
you would have wanted. It also saves them the problem of deciding how
much to spend, because if they loved you, there will be a strong
temptation to let the price run away. Pre-Arranging and pre-paying just makes everything so simple and trouble free. If you decide to prepay, you must first decide what style of funeral you want. This will be recorded, and the cost determined. You then pay that amount into the Safely Yours Trust, which will deposit the funds with AXA. If you do not withdraw the money, it accumulates interest, and at the time of death, the funds are paid, by the Trust, to your executors, who can then pay the funeral costs. If, for any reason you wish to withdraw the money, then you can do so, but any interest earned stays with the fund. If you already have a pre-paid funeral, but want to change the coffin you selected from your funeral director, you can do this quite simply.
